Chen Bin, the builder
Chen Bin was born on 1980, in Huadu, Guangzhou, China. He went to the Guangzhou Sport School to learn finswimming with a chance when he was just 11 years old. In 1992, he was learning in Guangzhou finswimming team, and his teacher was Li Suping, during 2 years. He immediately won the youth finswimming championship of the whole Chinese nation in the middle and long distances, setting himself as one of the most noted young finswimmer in that years. In April 1997, mr Qiu Yadi, who was the senior finswimming coach had discovered him as great finswimmer, and asked him to get training in Guangdong’s finswimming team in this same season. Since he had been the formal team member of Guangdong’s finswimming team, he has joined many competitions, and won 4 world championships, 5 Asia championships,19 Chinese championships and he set 3 times the world record. He was assessed with “The Special contribution for swimming” by Guangdong Provincial Sports Institute.
